The Dual Slit experiments (including the quantum Eraser etc), have led to some extraordinary suggestions by scientists to the effect that some particles may have no shape or form until they are observed/measured/committed in a reaction - in which case they adopt a particle or wave form as appropriate.
If we distinguish between the two known forms of wave - a wavy line and a spreading wave, we see that the characteristics always point to very different source conditions.
A wavy line (like light) may be equated to a line of ships going over the waves of an ocean. A spreading wave like ripples in a pond, always comes by disturbing the 'ocean' not by changing the ships into pseudo waves. Yet this is what is being suggested by some scientists in relation to wave/particle duality.
Why don't we go looking for the ocean? A hidden pool or ocean approach would seem to easily explain all conditions in the Dual Slit experiments - and is similar to the guiding wave of the DeBroglie/Bohm theory.
What we lack is evidence for the hidden pool or ocean. I believe that David Bohm suggested that the hidden wave had no energy - which seems to lack credibility - but if we step back and say that cosmology has found the need for a pool of Dark Energy that must be everywhere - does this give us a place to look?
