But you don't go beyond the limits. Has reality any limit?

But, and it's a huge but, are we content with partial understanding? Or do we really want to know reality? Because that may not be possible. Not because knowledge is always incomplete but because some things aren't knowable in that sense; they can't be quantified, measured, labelled, and put in a box.

But to those who have seen what is reality there's no doubt. But to those who may well have encyclopaedic knowledge there will always be doubt, which is ignorance. It's up to us.

Incidentally, we can do both so there's no despair in this. The person who has understood the whole can still investigate the partial. That's another reason why it's important not to just depend on science for one's understanding.

Are "contentment" and "despair" what is at stake here? These are emotional states.

Where is the logical guarantee that science is supposed to tell us about the nature of reality?

Guarantee ?
Guarantee Mr. hyksos you can find in the global Flat Earth Society,

https://www.livescience.com/62454-flat- ... ffect.html
#
/ by the way, the universe started from volume-zero (it means - flat) singularity,
then after the big-bang all its bits must be flat too as a parts of the
whole singular flat-point /

There's no guarantee about anything, is there? Except death, maybe :-)
