No regarding the obit. Don't like the idea regarding the likes. Watson had an idea of including his deceased date after the joined date - not sure if that's possible. Probably the easiest would be to create a new "group" category where the "member" and "forum moderator" designators go.

Twas me who asked about the obit. Not important.

Professor (in memoriam)

It carries a sense of academic merit and professing is what James did here. It's less pomp than the honorary doctorates awarded by universities, though I wouldn't object to that either, since "doctor" means teacher. We could specify "SPCF Professor", if there is any concern about the actual credential.

"in memoriam" (often misspelled "memorium") seems more amicable than "deceased", yet conveys the same message.

The impression I got was, it was up to you, knowing what was possible to do or not.

I don't think I can make new groups. I'll check and see.

Yes thanks MTB!

It's quiet, appropriate, simple.

Just right!

IIRC it was Dave_O who suggested the wording, and was Watson who seconded? Whoever it was, thanks to them too.
A good resolution. We all wanted James to have some special recognition but weren't sure what.
Most of all thanks to Faradave who got us started and made sure we did something.
