Going to be absent from most of the philosophical forums, but will keep on with science forums. Kind of reached the point of "said all I have to say, and others are just repeating themselves." It has been really fun and edifying. In some way or other, the search for meaning continues. Namaste.

Hi all,

Sorry been absent for awhile. I have been a care giver for my mother these last 12 years and she had a heart attack Thursday (Thanksgiving) Nov-26. She expired the next day. Making arrangements now. Back when things settle down. Later... Dave :^)

I'm sorry I'm so late here, Dave. I don't get on these forums as often as I'd like. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you find some comfort in knowing you did your best for your Mom.

Hugs,

Dave, I have been remiss about checking this thread, and so am also sorry to offer my sympathies so belatedly. Knowing your age, and doing the math, it sounds like your mum was blessed with a long life and one greatly enriched by having such a fine and loving son as yourself.

Hi all,

Again thanks everyone.
.
Per zetreque, your comment didn't go unnoticed.. My condolences to you also. It sucks getting old. We are supposed to respect our elders, but they are becoming increasingly more rare.

Again, Hugs from

So true, Dave, but we still have at least one. My sister celebrated her 100th last month. She sat there looking so serious. I wanted to say "Laugh. Life is full of jokes - like I'm still chasing you."

I've also been wondering where Canadys is. Hope he isn't lost up there on that mountain, gazing out at the beautiful scenery. Gorgeous country where he lives.

Weakmag lives in the frozen north, doesn't he? So I'm guessing Palm Springs.

And Darby, who was quite active in Astronomy and the cuisine thread, is still MIA, so I'd be glad to hear from him.

I think magneto has been looking in on occasion but not posting as much. I think she is busy with the work thing, distracting her from the more important thing, like us. After today I'll also be without internet, so ta ta for now. Glad to have been part of it.

Maybe their internet has crashed. Mine is so horrible these days I have a hard time just surfing sometimes. I would switch ISPs but they have a freaking monopoly around here between Charter and ATT. I hate monopolies. Charter just started sending me junk mail under a different name thinking I would be fooled that it was a new company. I feel like I am living back in the days of dialup. It's ridiculous!

Just checking in. Been busy as of late. I am working on a documentary aside from working a full-time job that requires extensive travel. Not to mention caring for my two disabled brothers n teenage son.

I haven't checked in for awhile but will do so once this documentary is completed. I am happy to say it will be broadcasted nationally in Canada. :)

We get a lot of 'Content not available in your region.' If you get CBC.ca content, you will likely get it.
