Happy Anniversary to Me!

Postby zetreque on December 30th, 2016, 3:59 am

Happy 9th year anniversary to ME!!!!

/hands out party hats.

I want to sincerely thank all of you for having me part of your community. My life has been through a lot of changes over those years and this was a place that has brought a lot of good to my life through exploring my own thoughts and having interaction with others that enjoy exploring more than the superficial. Thank You

Ok I feel kind of weird wishing myself happy anniversary, but it's past midnight and almost new years so that's a good excuse right?

Ok, Bring on the cake!
I mean Fasting...

Congratulations and happy anniversary Zet!

Please don't do what Sciameriken and his wife do. They're weird people.

Good to hear you're sticking around Z. We need more folks like yourself. Always enjoy the chats...

Next time you're in eastern Pennsylvania, stop by for a drive in a fuel cell car! :)

9th anniversary is pottery. I'm sending you a mug. Mailed it to Some Guy named Zetreque, Somewhere Near some mountains. I'm sure USPS can figure out the details.

Yeah I wonder how long you have to be here before you can get the official designation of "Dead Wood"

I think I definitely count. It just occurred to me how many parts of this web site I have never even looked at. I keep meaning to check some of them out and then my wanders on to ... Oh look! A black backed woodpecker just came to my bird feeder!

Funny thing is when zetreque posted that, my first thought was "Wow, thats a long time! Wonder how he kept track? Wonder how long I have been here?" Then I noticed the little date stamps by the avatars. Then I checked the little button that links to "Members" and, if that is listed by date joined, then next to Bio, I might be close to the longest active membership here. Very scary. And definitely Dead Wood! And here I am still trying to cling to my immaturity.

hahaha Thanks everyone. Feels like I have known you all for ages.

Yes 10 years is the nice even number unless you celebrate anniversaries via base 9 in honor of the native eastern hamjamjuee peoples. (try using that one with the GF or wife when you miss an anniversary and let me know how it goes)

I guess I should explain. As some might know, I have an affinity for somewhat isolated peoples. The Fahkawee people were forest dwellers whose forest biome became cut off during the shrinking of the forest edges during the last little Ice Age between about 1350 and 1400 AD. Due to a genetic anomaly, inbreeding and the Founder Effect, the group became dominated by recessive dwarfism. Eventually the forest disappeared and was replaced by tall grass prarie where the grass gets to be over 7 feet tall. These people haven't been seen since but I was able to locate them by following their tribal chant: "We're the Fahkawee!"

Was it coincidence that their shorter height hid them in the tall grasses?

Hi zetreque,

Congrats on your Decade Anniversary. Can't believe how fast time is going by for me. Like one frog said to another: "It's funny how time's fun when you're having flies."

Best wishes for another 10.
