This is a recent article by Hameroff, the anesthesiologist who co-founded the Center for Consciousness Studies at Tucson. Their annual conference will be back at Tucson this coming April, and is mentioned in the article. If you look at the list of speakers, it seems to include just about everyone who is well-known in the field.

Hameroff talks about his famous theory of consciousness, inspired and supported by Sir Roger. I've never found "Orch OR" persuasive, but perhaps it doesn't hurt to have a thread about it, for those who want to discuss and/or post research findings that may be pertinent.
