Trump Passes Top Secret Israeli Intel To Russians

Postby toucana on May 16th, 2017, 6:18 pm

US media sources tonight are claiming that Israel was the source of top secret intelligence about ISIS that was casually disclosed by President Trump to Russian diplomats in a closed door meeting in the Oval office last Wednesday.

Politicians and intelligence handlers in both USA and Europe have been left aghast by yesterday’s report in the Washington Post.

Trump who famously doesn’t bother to take briefings from his intelligence staff “because I’m a smart man” departed from his script during the meeting with the Russians on Wednesday 10 May and boasted about the ‘wonderful intelligence’ he had access to, before launching into a detailed discussion of an ISIS plot to deploy laptop bombs on airline flights. The information Trump gave apparently included the name of the city from which the information came.

The original source of the Intel was apparently ‘code word’ classified, which is NSA jargon for one of the highest possible security classifications. The information was deemed to be so sensitive that other USA allies had not been briefed on it, and it was not cleared for dissemination by the original authors. It was for USA eyes only. Some sources have subsequently said that Trump did not understand the origin or status of the information that he spontaneously decided to share.

As the magnitude of the blunder sank in, Trump’s advisers hurriedly contacted the CIA and NSA to initiate damage limitation measures, but another as yet unidentified staffer was so appalled, that they passed the story to the Washington Post as well.

The new national security advisor gen H.R. McMaster who replaced the disgraced general Michael Flynn issued a press statement calling it a ‘false story’ and saying that intelligence sources and methods had not been discussed, something which the Washington Post story had never claimed in the first place.

Gen. McMaster’s attempts to to douse the story were quickly torpedoed by Trump himself who defiantly tweeted earlier tonight:

Mr Trump tweeted:
As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) which I have the absolute right to do, facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety.

"Humanitarian reasons, plus I want Russia to greatly step up their fight against [IS] & terrorism."

Senate intelligence committe members including the senior Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer have now demanded full transcripts of the meeting last Wednesday between Trump and the Russian foreign minister Lavrov and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, a meeting that was controversial from the outset because US journalists and photographers were excluded from covering it.
