According to an interview in the ever reliable Daily Star with Christian numerologist David Meade, the arrival of the solar eclipse in USA on 21 August will be a harbinger of the imminent destruction of our world by the planet Nibiru.

David Meade points to a stunning numerical coincidence he calls the “33 Convergence”.

He told Daily Star Online: “When the eclipse begins on August 21, the sunrise will be dark, just as Isaiah predicts.

“The Moon involved is called a black moon. These occur about every 33 months. In the Bible, the divine name of Elohim appears 33 times in Genesis.

“The eclipse will start in Lincoln Beach, Oregon – the 33rd state – and end on the 33rd degree of Charleston, South Carolina.

“Such a solar eclipse has not occurred since 1918, which is 99 years – or 33 times three.”

I'm convinced. This is the 33rd End of the World scenario predicted during my lifetime. It must be true.

Maybe we look for these portents of doom because ultimately we know our world is a reflection of our own weakness and corruption. I guess it would be preferable in some respects for there to be a divine judgement, but I think we're on our own and it's largely up to us whether we found a interstellar legacy or perish in vain. We are halfway between beast and angel and we're at a crossroad, we could rise to the occasion and do something amazing or we could just snuff out like a bunch of effing lames. I want to go to the stars and get laid, that's my vote. I'm fully committed to vanquishing all A-holes and retards and taking this effer all the gob darn way.

This kind of ignorance doesn't deserve to even be acknowledged.

In turkey farming, there's a phenomenon where, if the turkeys are left outside during a heavy rain, they will look up with their beaks open and take so much water into their lungs that they drown. (this is not true of wild turkeys, I assume, but due to human breeding that didn't preserve basic intelligence) Somehow, that photo reminded me of that.

It brings a smile to my face seeing so many kids taking interest. It is such a bizarre thing to experience and helps remind us of the world we live on in respect to everything else.

I wonder how many kids will want to become a scientist now?
