Happy to announce a new experiment! Plants vs. Winter -- the story of survival in the harshest conditions known to man - Buffalo New York. 12 Plants enter the study - find out who lives and who becomes deer food!

The catnip section was quite amusing. "predation by cats" hehe.

Both our cats eat grass, but not at a rate that saves me from mowing. One cat nibbles sage, which is the same botanical family as catnip IIRC.

I know squirrels can be a big threat to various bulb perennials. One place, we had to dig up the bulbs when they went dormant, and keep them in trays of soil indoors until Spring.
