AP Story on Fancy Bear Hackers, Links to Kremlin

Discusses the proven range of hacking and phishing targets of Russian hackers, and the enormous quantity of data that would have needed to be sifted and sorted - well beyond the capabilities of a "lone hacker."

The fact that the U.S. is so divided on Russian hacking, the fact that we are not united in our outrage and resolve to punish the Kremlin, shows just how successful Putin has been in sowing doubt, discord, and deniability.

It's really sad how Trump and everything around him has fueled such hate and polarization in the country ripping it apart when we need to be united more than ever against the real threat which is dwindling resources and population growth. People just want to keep laying blame to people like the Clinton's rather than facing up to what's going on. It's also incredibly sad how little news there is on other important issues like sexual assault cases, failure to release tax returns, unethical conflicts of interest, and loss of our freedoms.

Back to the topic. The hacker's mindset in general is one of anarchy, disruption, and just doing it because you can and it's a challenge. It's a nasty world out there and Americans have been far too sheltered from it in their affluence thanks to the country dominating and oppressing the rest of the world. The US keeps teetering on losing it's ability to be a dominant force in the world and when divided it really loses it's influence (like when congress acts like a bunch of babies doing government shutdowns because they are too uneducated to have a brain when it comes to representing democracy and the interest of all Americans in the global political, economic and environmental environment).
