'Trump Baby' - Blimp

Preparations for president Trump’s visit to UK on 13 July appear to be well in-hand.

London's mayor on Thursday gave a group permission to fly a 20-foot-tall balloon depicting President Donald Trump as an angry baby over London when the president visits the city later this month.

Mayor Sadiq Khan described the stunt as a "peaceful protest."

The group's plan is to suspend the balloon above Parliament Square, beside the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, when Trump visits on July 13.

It had launched a crowdfunding page for the project, describing Trump as "a big, angry baby with a fragile ego and tiny hands." The campaign has raised more than £16,000 ($21,000).

The page also describes Trump as a "racist demagogue who is a danger to women, immigrants and minorities and a mortal threat to world peace and the very future of life on earth," adding: "Moral outrage is water off a duck's back to Trump. But he really seems to hate it when people make fun of him."

The London Evening Standard carried a statement from a spokesman for Kahn: "The Mayor supports the right to peaceful protest and understands that this can take many different forms. His city operations team have met with the organisers and have given them permission to use Parliament Square Garden as a grounding point for the blimp."

The balloon will not be allowed to fly more than 30 meters (98 feet) off the ground, Sky News reported. It will also be subject to authorization from the Metropolitan Police and UK air-traffic authorities.

The group says that it now wants to raise enough money "to get #TrumpBaby to follow little Donald around the world, haunting his diplomatic engagements wherever he goes," and that any further donations will go toward what it calls the "Trump Baby World Tour."

I'll see your baby blimp and raise you one trump-bear-buggery float: ... ear-2018-2

For any such display, the clear-cut best choice to achieve loft of a politician is: hot air.

Some of the signs are hilarious!

“I’m from Essex and that tan is dodgy babe!”

I guess you have to know the UK to appreciate that one! XD

The most typical English response on one sign:

“This is all terribly upsetting”

“We’re British
We’re polite
But f**k off

and one straight to the point:

“F**k off you bell end”

and one aimed to upset Trump I think:

“Trump wears poorly tailored suits”

Haha! Always good for bringing out some funny remarks if little else.

Only a mental gimp has to make a blimp go limp
When their ideology feels a crimp.

The Trump 'Baby Blimp' did indeed go limp, after being knifed and deflated in Alabama.

The 6.1m (20ft) tall balloon had been set up in a park as the US president watched a football game nearby.

But a man who appeared to be unhappy with the orange, nappy-clad, mobile-phone-clutching caricature of Mr Trump ran at the balloon with a knife - cutting an 8ft gash in the back.

The unidentified man was subsequently arrested by police in Tuscaloosa.

President Trump who was recently heavily booed while attending sporting events in both New York and Washington DC had hoped that a trip to an Alabama College football game in a deep red state like Alabama would prove more congenial.

Alas, not only did he get booed by some of the audience in the stadium yet again, but the college team he came along to support were 20 points adrift in the third quarter according to last reports.
