CBS and ABC affiliates in Texas are reporting that multiple boats taking part in a Trump Boat Parade are in distress, or have actally sunk on Lake Travis.

Multiple 911 calls were made Saturday afternoon regarding boats being in distress, some sinking at the ‘Trump Boat Parade’ that took place on Lake Travis, according to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

TCSO confirmed with CBS Austin that multiple boats were sinking, some in distress.
The sheriff's office says calls were made about boats along the entire route of the parade, some of the locations include: Paradise Cove, Emerald Point and West Beach.

The sheriff's office tells CBS Austin due to the overwhelming amount of information being received regarding the incidents, there is currently no confirmed amount of boats that were affected.

In spite of his steadily dwindling opinion poll approval rating numbers, president Trump has remained consistently popular among owners of small boats, up until now. But even their unflagging support is now quite literally heading underwater it seems.

Lake Travis is an artificial lake near Austin Texas that was created in 1942 by the construction of the Mansfield dam.

According to a number of reports, the fiasco that has rapidly beeen dubbed #Dumbkirk on Twitter happened not because of bad weather, but simply because the boat owners didn't follow basic safety rules.

https://forwardky.com/dumbkirk-pro-trump-boat-parade-ignores-safety-rules-sinks-four-of-their-own-boats/

The pro-Trump parade became a spectacle when wakes of several hundred small boats all traveling the same direction on a confined body of water created waves combined to sink at least four of the pro-Trump vessels.

Yep. That’s right. When boating in groups, you see, it is important to follow certain rules. Speeds must be kept low, so as to not generate wakes dangerous to nearby, smaller boats. It’s important to properly distance from others. And if you don’t follow those basic rules of safety and decency, it’s not necessarily you that’s going to be in danger. Huh, this is feeling like a metaphor for something.

According to The New York Times, event organizers were not terribly broken up about the sinkings, with one writing it off as an “accidents are bound to happen” sort of thing.

“You can have really great water one second, and it could get some pretty heavy swells in a matter of minutes. Once boats get on a lake, mother nature has its own plans.”

No serious injuries were reported, and local sheriffs have ruled out foul play - rebutting suggestions promoted by some conspiracy theory-minded GOP supporters.

It was a Biden-Ukraine-Ondine conspiracy.
Or would have been, if Trumpites were sufficiently literate.

Had to watch this one twice to figure out if it was satire, or not. :-)
