Dr. Atlas is a neuroradiologist with no expertise in the field of epidemiology, but someone who nonetheless was allowed to supplant specialists such as Dr Anthony Fauci (NIAID) and Dr Deborah Birx (CDC) as the administration’s most influential source of medical advice during the worst public health emergency the USA has faced in the last one hundred years.
