I disagree with this statement and find the use of the word "ridiculous" to be kind of ridiculous in this article :)
We all know what a pain in the arse windows updates can be sometimes taking ages to install when rebooting. If routers did this, there would be people complaining and wondering why their internet was down more often. Also automatic updates can have disastrous effects creating problems of their own.
