Is the clock right?

How accurate are the clocks in the computers? Can we use the time shown on the Desk Top as an accurate setting? If not, is there the following?

As everyone over 30 knows, we used to be able to dial a local bank and get the correct time. All that seems to have gone by the wayside. So, if the computer clocks are not reliable, does there happen to be an 800 number we can call for accurate time?

If your computer is online, windows accesses an atomic clock server once every seven days to regulate it own clock.

Thank you, JMP. Do you know if Apple also does that?
