It is impressive. I note that the Canadian sci-fi series "Travelers" includes a doctor from the future who treats various injuries and illnesses with "nanites" or microrobots that are injected into the patient. Clearly, the concept has worked its way into the public imagination.

Thanks, Vat. According to Wiki, nanobots have been around for some time.

If you’re looking fir sci-fi versions Ben Bova’s series are pretty neat (in terms of nanobots I loved “Mercury”).
