It doesn't matter what other apes have done this. The Chinese practiced foot binding on women and chose women with small feet. Some south American cultures did head binding. No one can say that something similar to that didn't exist for a group of humans many years ago and was part of their culture for thousands of years.

Only conquerors can impose their mores and customs and preferences on a majority population.


I'm not talking about when these groups mixed that they imposed their culture or any culture passed on. I'm saying there were certain gene variants that evolved during the thousands of years of isolation and then when the groups mixed the variants mixed into offspring.

I would imagine that fire is a result of intelligence increase, not the cause of it.


It is suggested that they synergistically evolved together.
