What will human life be like on earth in 1000 years, in the year 3019?

1. Will civilization even survive that long?

2. What will be the world human population at that time?

3. What languages will people speak?

4. Will the earth's environment still be hospital to humans?

5. What kind of technology will see?

1. No

3. Chinese, Euro, Spantuguese, Bengdu, Afrabic, Jassian, some isolated local tongues

4. In widely distributed pockets

5. Sustainable low maintenance minimalist high tech; 19th century style steam/iron; mechanophobic bio-science; manual agricultural; bronze age hand tools and weapons -- in different communities

Interesting questions. I've a dour view of humanity's abilities. I know we have penchant for survival however with our destruction of this planet so complete and our unwillingness to find good reason to swallow bitter pills leads me to believe that humanity's survival needs a much smaller population than even 500 million possibly around 5 million. This may give the planet a chance.
What language would we speak, not English and maybe not Chinese. I would suggest something so jumbled it will be given a different name. How many languages will depend on our survival skills.
It would be better to ask if animals will survive, as even though many humans consider them low life beings our survival has always depended on theirs.
As science has already informed us some of the toxic pollutants will take hundreds of years to clear from the environment.
Hopefully we will have far more sensible technology. So far we've been governed by profit mongers but maybe by then we will take the attitude that technology should progress not only humanity but all the creatures that surround us.

There will be 5 million people, all speaking Englice, a blend of English and Icelandic, because Icelanders had greenhouses and abundant geothermal heat during the long nuclear winter (see Sagan and Turco's famous paper for details). When the sun returned and the continents became capable of supporting life, the 200,000 surviving Icelanders (and descendants of tourists stuck there when WW3 started) began to colonize them, and by 3000 AD had grown in number (also increasing their very low genetic diversity by mating with tiny groups of survivors - mostly preppers with serious canned good caches and this guy I know who can sustain himself on cave moss and ramen noodles.). A culture grew, based on traditional Scandinavian nature worship and lessons learned from WW3 and the 6th mass extinction that was underway at that unfortunate time. By a massive consensus, technology is restricted to wicker-based products and pointed sticks, because it's clear humans can't be trusted with anything else.
