A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.

Saul Bellow

"I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure -- that is all that agnosticism means."

It's ascribed to "Omar Khayyam" as in one of his Rubaiyat's first verse.

Hey Paradox,

When I was in the Army, the first thing they taught us was:

If it moves.. Salute it!
If it doesn't move.. Paint it!
If it can't be painted.. Bury it!

Seriously.. lol.

I was going to add that one but I forgot how it was said.

I haven't read all yours and perhaps someone wrote it already. I heard this quote in the school, long time ago; I keep it still deeply:

The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils.

Mtbturtle,

This is getting off topic but human male/female relationships do not follow normal logic. What would you prefer if your man cheated... Tell you the truth?.... If he tells you the truth that means he doesn’t care and wants the other woman. Therefore, he lies because he doesn’t want to lose you. And the weird part is that you know he’s lying, but except it on that basis, if you want to keep him. You figure.

Same goes for any relationship. i.e Gay or straight

Love does not necessarily follow logic. It just knows what it feels and wants.

Hallo paradox, I think the word love is bad used. In this case, between woman and man, we should talk about compromises. To name the relation ship's compromises as love, it's a dishonest trick, which shows the weakness of the men. What you call love is just a prolonged sucking pacifier!
Love is the truth.
