The phenomenon of UFOs part of the collective unconscious

Postby parsoff on January 26th, 2018, 3:22 pm

-the phenomenon of the UFOs or flying saucers, which in his opinion were representations of the collective unconscious.

His = Carl Gustaf Jung

What do you people know or think of this explanation?

I agree with Jung that it is a representation of the collective unconscious.

Jung makes far more sense than those who think aliens would travel many light years in order to cruise around our skies and give people medical exams. We'll stop imagining aliens as soon as we get a single payer healthcare plan in the USA.

Jung pointed out that demonic possession and such reports were the older version of "alien abduction." The reports are extremely similar and also relate to sleep paralysis.

The UFO phenomenon in pop culture simply seems people to have shifted the meaning of the unconscious content onto a more modern "worry" appropriate to the technological age. Once ideas of god are shifted out of the common market of thought they are necessarily replaced by other forms of "heaven" and "hell," and all that goes along with those concepts.

You could also see it the UFO is something where you belong to. A ship where humans step into, humans only. Not tha Ark of Noah where all animals pair by pair stepped into.

If the UFO is where the humans, only human, belong to this can be seen as direction or orientation where the creature needs to go to.
This can then create the delusion that you find the way or something what you were searching for why you live or were born to, questions related to those kind.

This because in reality the human and also the human only is a specie that left living life in the trees and is walking on the ground what gives a more open life then in the jungle where all life is compressed together.

It walks in on the ground and on mountain tops and it sees more then the monotone branches of a tree the tree climbers like chimps see all the time.
That the human sees more then that doesn't give it 'powers' to find the answer on questions like why these humans were born or where these humans belong to.

Important to also look at the history of the human and what might could be the 'thing' they have.

This is something i thinking about the human and what they try to find something where they belong to.
If that was a family that lived in the trees and later was a group of hunters then after that this way of see'n it, replaces all that and is the UFO then where the human belongs to as it started with that you belong to a family that lived in the trees.
