How far away are the nearest stars Alpha Centauri and it's sibling , Proxima Centauri?

Ah, I see some of the confusion. The YT brackets don't work on Chrome, so Chrome tablet users are just seeing a white space below your opening question and no sign of a link at all. I added a standard URL link, for their benefit.
