Can Gamma rays be lased?

Postby Event Horizon on March 10th, 2019, 10:15 pm

Hi folks.

I was just pondering on lasers, and I kinda got to wondering if Gamma radiation be lased if it is as I believe a photon.
It would make for a powerful tool, or weapon.
So it does kinda matter if its possible. I don't know much about lasers, I just use them. if they could make one, how?

Sitmulated Emission of Gamma Radiation all in phase and lased like other photons. I can think of military applications for such a thing which is a bit concerning. No one is doing this are they?
