The Talk Crap Thread

Postby NoShips on December 9th, 2016, 9:08 am

I get bored sometimes and just feel like talking inane rubbish. Is this allowed?

If so, tally ho.

Let's begin with the observation that Andy Garcia looks strikingly like Al Pacino.

After all, even the deepest of thinkers needs some release after a hard day of...erm, doing nothing.

Nietzsche used to join the dots.

Ok, just spotted another pair of lookalikes. Godfather II: 1 hour 14 mins -- the Nevada senator caught doing bad stuff.

The spitting image of Tom Berringer in Platoon, I tell ya.

(Only front on). When he turns to the side, he looks like Sammy Davis Jr.

Hey Forest (I know you're there), it's not quite clear how the senator ended up with a dead woman, covered in blood, on his bed.

He says "I don't remember".

You think it was down to his own perversions, or did the Corleones set it up?

Another thing I've noticed in the Godfather trilogy is that the number of whackings a person performs is inversely proportional to hirsutitude.

Or in layman's terms: bald Mafiosa seldom whack.

Anyway, you miss the point (that's what Husserl will do for you).

What I'm trying to establish here is a sanctuary for people who want to talk crap without fear of hard-nosed scientists blocking, locking. jabbing and stabbing us.

But a caveat, gentlemen: if we do finally come up with a good idea, keep quiet or they'll patent it and make millions.

Ok, trivia then. Let's name famous people who died from a tortoise falling on their head. I'll begin with Aeschylus.

So I went for a haircut. The barber turned out to be, shall we say, overly loquacious. Finally it came my turn. Barber asked, "How would you like it cut, sir?"

I replied "In silence".
