I just couldn't get it out of my mind. I want to know whether or not I'm right.

I believe that Philadelphia Phillies is the only answer. Am I right?

Sorry guys. Yes, Giacomo, Philadelphia Phillies is the only answer.

A gentle reminder: There are puzzles (8) and (9) left:

(8)

Rearrange the 11 letters of "interaction" to make two closely related words. What words are they?

And

(9)

Name the sixth thing in a well-known series. Change its third letter to the next letter of the alphabet. Then rearrange all the letters, and you'll get the seventh thing in the series. What names are these?

I went to Internet Anagrams at http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cg ... ion&t=1000

There are 2836 entries found. It looks to me that Tar Nicotine is the best answer

And

(9)

I googled it and found the answer. It's the well-known series consists of the names of the planets.

So it is Saturn, Uranus

Leica, I do appreciate your contribution. Could you please propose puzzles that involve mathematics and Logic instead?

Giacomo, it is totally awesome that you should be able to find Philadelphia Phillies, Saturn, and Tar+Nicotine=Interaction.
Basically to me it is a lesson in new ways to use internet resources, among other things. Thanks for indicating somewhat how you did it.
It makes me think that we are all becoming, in a way, the Bionic Man, because our abilities are being extended in unexpected ways by these interactive resources.

This is off topic, but my new internet tool thing is applying the google calculator to cosmology. One way to express one's friendly attachment to the universe is to personally calculate its numbers from scratch. When I have personally calculated a certain critical distance or density that is one of her proportions/physical features then I feel like I know her better. So I like to do this. The calculations are made easy by the fact that the online calculator knows most of the units and basic constants that you use for that
kind of thing.

If anyone is interested just let me know and I will start a thread either here (because the activity is math) or in Astro (because the subject is cosmology)

Leica, I'm very glad you are back! You and Giacomo are among the most fun people for me here, if not the. It makes a big difference having you around!

Sure, I'm interested in your offer/proposal since it involves math.

That's correct, Giacomo. Sorry for these puzzles. I'll look for mathematical ones. Giacomo, could you post some number theory problems, not too tough, though. You know that I've been struggling with number theory. I've found a math tutor. So, you could post problems of mathcamp level of difficulty?

Yeah, I'm interested too.

Thanks, Marshall. You're very sweet. Eh, Marshall, what did you study?

Okay. I'll post a bunch of problems that were presented at mathcamps (USA and Canada). These problems do not require a deep knowledge of Number theory.

If Teresa's daughter is my daughter's mother, what am I to Teresa?

Woops got a little hasty on that one

Husband (Or person with whom Teresa created her daughter - 1/2 of the couple to whom the stork brought the child - a worthless deadbeat who doesn't pay child support and only comes to visit when there is a football game on TV because there is no TV under the bridge)

The answer I was looking for was: Daughter.

Maybe, but, as a man, I solved the riddle correctly by identifying myself as Teresa's son-in-law.
