'I Am The Walrus'

Postby toucana on March 21st, 2021, 11:58 am

An Arctic walrus has been spotted relaxing on rocks on the Pembrokeshire coastline of south Wales.

It is believed to be the first time in the RSPCA's history it has been called out to check on one of the giant animals.

The same walrus was seen on rocks in County Kerry, Ireland, just a week ago.

Animal rescue officer Ellie West said: "It seems this Arctic walrus has swum over to Wales and was resting on rocks when I went to check on him.

"This is an incredibly rare sighting and these big, beautiful animals never usually venture so far south.
